This Policy explains how Lease Lyte, operated by Remlets, collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Service. We handle landlord and tenant data, including financial and contact information, and treat it as confidential.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, phone, and role (landlord or tenant).
• Property & tenancy data: property addresses, lease terms, rent amounts, maintenance requests, and documents/photos you upload.
• Payment data: processed by Stripe. We store payment status and non-sensitive metadata (e.g. last-4, brand); we do not store full bank or card numbers.
• Usage data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use it

• To provide the Service — rent tracking, payments, maintenance, messaging, and reporting.
• To send transactional notifications (payment confirmations, invites, maintenance updates) by email and, where you opt in, SMS.
• To secure the Service and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We share data with vendors strictly to operate the Service: Clerk (authentication), Convex (database), Stripe (payments), AWS S3(file storage), Resend (email), and an SMS provider. Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms.

Storage & security

Uploaded documents and photos are stored privately (no public access) and are served only via short-lived, access-scoped links to authorized users. Access to records is restricted to the owning landlord and the linked tenant. We use industry-standard measures to protect data, though no method is perfectly secure.

Data retention

We retain data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your data (subject to those obligations).

Your rights

Depending on your state (e.g. under CCPA and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these, contact us at the address below.
