Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Lease Lyte (the "Service"), operated by Remlets ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Lease Lyte is property-management software for landlords and their tenants, including rent tracking, online rent payments, maintenance requests, lease storage, and financial reporting. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for safeguarding your login credentials. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms.

3. Payments

Rent payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. through Stripe Connect. The landlord is the merchant of record for rent collected from their tenants; Lease Lyte does not hold or control tenant funds. A per-transaction convenience fee may apply and is disclosed before you confirm a payment. Your use of payment features is also subject to the Stripe Services Agreement. Late fees, where applied, follow the policy shown in the app and applicable state law.

4. Refunds & disputes

Rent and related charges are agreements between a landlord and their tenant. Refunds are at the landlord's discretion and are issued through Stripe. Payment disputes (chargebacks) are handled through Stripe's dispute process. Lease Lyte is not a party to the underlying lease.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access data you are not authorized to access, disrupting the Service, or using it for unlawful purposes (including any violation of fair-housing or landlord-tenant law).

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the documents, photos, and data you upload. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Lease Lyte is not a law firm, accountant, or tax advisor. Lease templates, tax exports, and compliance information are provided for convenience and are not legal, financial, or tax advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to comply with law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
